About Us

Pryor Field Airport Authority

Pryor Field Regional Airport (KDCU) is a public-use airport, centrally located between the tri-cities of Athens, Decatur, and Huntsville. Pryor Field is less than 3 miles from the I65/565 interchange. The Pryor Field Regional Airport is owned by the Pryor Field Airport Authority.

The Airport Authority was established by the Cities of Athens and Decatur and Limestone and Morgan County. The Board is composed of five members who are appointed to administer, operate, and otherwise manage the Pryor Field Regional Airport and to carry out its mission. Members serve five-year terms and meet monthly on the second Tuesday.

Mission

The Pryor Field Airport Authority and Pryor Flight Center provides a safe, efficient, and cost-effective environment for air transportation while generating and contributing to economic benefit to North Alabama and its communities. We promote and support all things aviation including workforce initiatives, business and general aviation operations, military, and cargo operations.

Vision

Our vision is to continually boost the airport's economic growth and impact by fostering collaborations between our communities and business entities in-state and out-of-state alike. Our commitment is to invest back into the airport to better serve our partners and customers while capitalizing on opportunities to connect Alabamians to markets nationwide.
